Dream it.
60 years ago, some friends were hiking Hawk Mountain when the idea of a hiking club came up. As if by serendipity, an article ran in that weeks’s newspaper about a Keystone Trials Association member who won an award. After the friends contacted and met with this person, they received helpful guidance, and a call to action was then advertised in the local newspaper, leading to the formation of a club.

What We Do
Hiking Adventures: Day hikes from leisurely walks to challenging treks, we explore trails of all levels from easy to challenging. Hikes are scheduled every other Sunday with random hikes announced in between and during the week.
Overnight Camping and Backpacking: Routine overnight camping excursions with longer hikes are planned for those who enjoy tent/shelter camping while backpacking in and out.
Speciality Hikes: The club organizes shorter-duration hikes that often include an educational component, such as historical hikes, urban explorations, visits to an observatory or garden, wildflower walks, and more.
Biking: Moderately paced cycling excursions lasting between 2 and 4 hours covering 8 - 20 miles and suitable for variety of skill levels. It may include scenic park routes, nature trails, rails to trails, sightseeing with educational components, rest stops and/or lunch.
Trail Preservation: Maintaining trails and surrounding environment for public use by marking trails, clearing pathways, and preserving ecological integrity through volunteer work.
